Long Battery Life
Choose one location report per day for an estimated battery life of up to two years. For more frequent tracking in Smart Mode, allow around two weeks between charges based on Vectra’s testing. Actual battery life varies with use, settings and signal conditions.
Flexible Tracking Modes
Switch between scheduled reports and more frequent tracking while moving. In long-standby mode, remote changes take effect when the device next wakes and connects, so switching is not immediate.
Built-In Tamper Alerts
When enabled and correctly installed, removal from the mounting surface triggers a tamper alert. In long-standby mode, Vectra Locate then activates tracking for 20 minutes. Alert delivery depends on mobile connectivity.
How Vectra Locate Works
Vectra Locate uses GPS satellites to determine its position and a mobile network to send location updates to your tracking platform. In Smart Mode, it reports more frequently while moving and sleeps while parked. In long-standby mode, it wakes at scheduled intervals to report its location, helping preserve battery life. Location reporting depends on satellite reception and mobile coverage.
